She has been working in the cybersecurity field for 18 years: as KnowBe4 Africa’s Managing Director and before that as security architect and consultant, where she has assisted organizations build their cybersecurity defences across South Africa, Europe and the U.S.


    Collard founded security content publisher Popcorn Training, which is a South African company that promotes cybersecurity awareness by using innovative, story-based techniques and gamification to make complex content simple to understand and easy to remember. Popcorn Training was acquired by KnowBe4 in 2018.


    Anna won the Women in Tech Innovations Throughout Africa 2020 Award for Southern and Central Africa. She featured in the Top 50 Women in Cybersecurity – Africa 2020 as well as the Top 100 Women in Cyber 2020 globally by Cyber Defence Magazine. She was awarded the ISACA South Africa prestigious President Award for 2020.


    Collard holds various security certifications, such as CISSP, CISA, ISO 27001 lead auditor, CIPP/IT and used to be a Visa/Mastercard PCI DSS QSA.

    After completing a Bachelors in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cape Town, Thomas Brennan was awarded the Rhodes Scholarship in 2004. In 2009 he completed his D.Phil, in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford. Prior to completing his DPhil he interned with Google in Zurich as an associated product manager and Man Investments as a quantitative analyst. After completing his DPhil, he then worked for Vodafone developing a mobile-based platform to monitor and support community health workers in South Africa’s public health sector.

    In 2010, he accepted a Wellcome Trust Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Oxford to develop and assess mobile health solutions for monitoring chronic disease in resource-constrained settings. In 2012, he took up a position as Research Engineer at the Laboratory of Computation Physiology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) working on clinical data mining applications. In 2015 he returned to South Africa to take up a Senior Innovation Manager role within Discovery’s R&D lab where he led the development and launch of Discovery Health’s Smart Plan (the fastest growing health plan in South Africa to date) and DiabetesCare (South Africa’s first digital diabetes management system). In 2017, he was promoted to Head of Digital Innovation at Discovery Health.

    In early 2018, he left Discovery and founded Franc Group (Pty) Ltd, a mass market wealth management app. Franc makes investing simple and social, increasing access to investments by removing investment minimums and simplifying investing to just two funds, a cash and equity fund. He has over 15 years of experience in management, machine learning, health informatics, biomedical engineering, digital health and software development.

    Charles holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering, has attended Management programs at Harvard University, Lund University and Lagos Business School.

    Besides founding Crestsage Limited (www.crestsage.com), he is the pioneer President of Shelterbuds Multipurpose Cooperative Society, a charitable mutual benefit real estate organization and co-founder of TechQuest STEM Academy, a not-for-profit STEM education organization with programs across Nigeria, (http://www.tqstem.org/) that has trained over 33,000 people to date. Charles is the co-founder of Roar Nigeria Hub (www.roarnigeria.org), Nigeria’s 1st University based business and technology incubator and a director of Lion Science Park. In his spare time, Charles loves playing squash, swimming and providing mentorship to junior entrepreneurs.
